SUMMARY:Winter League Players meeting
DESCRIPTION:Thank you to everyone who attended the meeting on Monday night. \nAs discussed\, below is the agreed split for our A & B Teams for the Winter League. \nAs there were no objections\, Carol Scaramuzza will captain the A Team and Chris Jagger will captain the B Team. \nCarol and Chris will be responsible for deciding who plays the singles and doubles and the order of play. \nTeam selection will be done on a rotation basis\, as in previous years. Everyone should get approximately 6 or 7 league games throughout the 14-week season. \nI’ll put the full rotation on here in the next day or two\, and each week I’ll confirm who is playing for each team. \nA TEAM – Captain: Carol Scaramuzza \n1. Cerise Booth\n2. Carol Scaramuzza\n3. Sam Seargent\n4. Jamal Kelly\n5. Keith Jagger\n6. Andy McLauchlan\n7. Sue Black\n8. Elaine Long\n9. Mick Cartledge\n10. Jeff Ramsden \nB TEAM – Captain: Chris Jagger \n1. Kevin Booth\n2. Steve Scaramuzza\n3. Liz Johnson\n4. Chris Jagger\n5. Dean Kent\n6. Andy Fitzpatrick\n7. Joanne McLauchlan\n8. Beverley Crossland\n9. Helen Harries\n10. Linda Ramsden \nCLUBHOUSE VOLUNTEERS \nWe will also need volunteers to help with hosting in the clubhouse\, selling raffle tickets and measuring during the league matches. Any help would be greatly appreciated\, so please volunteer when you are available. \nThe cost per player when they play will be £3. This includes tea or coffee and a raffle ticket. Could all players please donate a bottle of wine to be used as a prize for the raffles? \nCUP COMPETITIONS \nIn addition to the 14-week league season\, there will also be two cup competition days\, both played on a Friday: \nDoubles – Friday 27th November 2026\nSingles – Friday 22nd January 2027 \nThanks again to everyone for your support. Hopefully we can have an enjoyable and competitive Winter League season.
